The public consultation period ran from 13 December 2001 to 12
March 2002. It provided a formal
opportunity for the public to contribute to the development of the health investment
plan, question the NHS about the plan and make their views known on
the proposals it contains.
The menu on the left provides access to the
public consultation document the public consultation report submitted
to the Health Authority and feedback on the issues that were raised by the
public. Many of the questions and comments have been grouped into four main areas:
-
The capacity of the local NHS to meet the demand for health
services,
- Access to services, particularly hospitals,
- The availability of resources, including funding, and
- The quality and appropriateness of NHS buildings.
The issues within each of these areas and the responses of the
panel members have been summarised and can be viewed via the menu
on the left.
There were also questions on general issues
relating to the project and local health services. These questions and
answers are listed in the FAQ on the left.
The CHC and Patients Forum are conducting a series of surveys on
the publics views on the plan. The results from the first survey of
visitors to the Peterborough District Hospital are provided in
full.
The public consultation document included a post-paid
questionnaire. The results are provided in full.
