Bidders Named for Health Investment Project The private sector consortia who will be bidding for the project to design, build, fund and operate the three new health care facilities in Peterborough were named this morning. The bidders are;
Announcing the names, Chris Banks, Project Director and Chief Executive of the Peterborough Hospital NHS Trust said, “This marks a significant step in the implementation of the Greater Peterborough Health Investment Plan that will provide local people with a modern health service delivered to the highest standards. The three bidders are all very strong candidates and we expect the competition to be very close.” Over the next three months the bidders will be putting together their initial designs for the three new facilities. These will be reviewed in detail and two of the bidders selected to submit detailed tenders for the project. By early 2005 the successful bidder will be selected and the final negotiations and full planning applications submitted. By the end of 2005 the contracts will be signed and construction of the new buildings will start in early 2006. A copy of the full press release is available
