Bidders Open Day
With over 70 attendees from 38 organisations the Health Investment
Plan Bidders Open Day proved a great success.

The proceedings commenced with a presentation on the
project by the three partners and members of the project team. The key
messages included:
The project is being brought to the private
sector by an extremely successful partnership of NHS organisations.
There is a clear strategy for the modernisation
of local health services and a commitment to deliver the strategy.
All the stakeholders have been actively involved
in developing the strategy.
The project is at a proven state of readiness to
proceed to procurement.
The procurement process will be well managed by
an experienced team and completed within an ambitious but realistic
timescale.
There are many opportunities for the private
sector to contribute to the project, and considerable scope for design
innovation.
After the formal presentations Angela Broekhuizen, the
Project Clinician, gave a short talk on the four main patient pathways.
During lunch the attendees met the project team, the advisors and
members of staff from the three organisations. Following lunch there
was coach tour to the Edith Cavell Hospital and Fenland Wing sites
where the developments are to take place. The list of
attendees at the bidders day is available
