Outcome of the Public Consultation Exercise Approved by the Cambridgeshire Health Authority The Cambridgeshire Health Authority approved the report on the outcome of the public consultation exercise at their public meeting on 27 March 2002. The report concluded there is strong support for the aims of the health investment plan, the plan to invest in more primary care services and develop a single hospital for Peterborough on the Edith Cavell Hospital site. Members of the health authority commended the plan for taking a whole systems approach by planning services across both the hospital and community sectors. They also commented on the open and proactive way in which the consultation was conducted to ensure the views of the public would be taken into account. As a result of the consultation process a number of changes have been made to the plan and several new service developments put forward for inclusion. Project Director for the health investment plan, Chris Banks, thanked the health authority for its continued support and confirmed the next stages in the process will be conducted in an equally open manner.
