Mayor to Open Public Exhibition

The Right Worshipful the Mayor of the City of Peterborough Councillor Raja Akhtar is to open the public design exhibition at 9.30am on 16 November 2004. The exhibition in the Town Hall Peterborough, will give local people the opportunity to see the designs for the City's new hospital, mental health unit and integrated care centre.

The Mayor will be accompanied by the chief executives of the three NHS partners to the project, Cambridge and Peterborough Mental Health Partnership Trust, Greater Peterborough Primary Care Partnership and Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The public will be given the opportunity to comment on the designs proposed by the two consortia bidding for the project, Medico and Progress Health. The successful consortia will be chosen in early March 2005.
