New Mock-ups Take Shape Work on constructing mock-ups of key rooms in the new health care facilities to built in Peterborough is well underway. The mock ups are being built in stages allowing them to be tested in detail before important features are added such as bed head units, examination lights and even sockets and light switches. By taking this staged approach we can test different types of fittings and ensure every element of the rooms are in the best place
The mock-ups being constructed include
Over the next few months we expect several hundred people to visit the test area under the new day surgery unit at ECH. They will undertake simulation exercises in each room to check they can safely move patients around the rooms and get them into bed using wheelchairs, trolleys and hoists. When this work is
complete and we are satisfied the rooms are of a functional size and
shape the next stage in the process will commence with sample fittings
being installed. |
