Patient Audit Day

A major study will be taking place on 17 and 18 May 2004 to provide important data and information to help plan future health service needs and facilities in the area.

The study will involve reviewing every patient in a hospital bed in Peterborough, Stamford and Doddington. The review will be undertaken by a multi-disciplinary multi-agency team and will assess the clinical and service needs of over 700 inpatients.

The data gathered from this 'snap shot' will be analysed by external consultants and tested against our current development plans.

The study will test the assumptions made in the original outline business case and ensure our current and future plans are based on the best possible understanding of health needs for hospital and rehabilitation patients.

A briefing paper on the patient audit day is available here (40k pdf)
