Questionnaire Results

The results of the questionnaire included in the public consultation document have been published. 159 questionnaire were received and the results show a good level of support for the aims of the health investment plan.

The questionnaire covered the three parts of the plan, the new local health care centres, the new hospital and access to healthcare services. The public was asked to choose the three issues in each section that are most important to themselves.

For the new local health care centres, the public considered their three most important issues to be:

• They should be located on a bus route (80%)
• There should be plenty of car parking (67%)
• They should be accessible by foot (50%)

When considering the new hospital, the public listed their three most important issues as:

• The building should be easy to change and adapt (45%)
• There should be plenty of car parking (38%)
• It should be easy to find your way around (26%)

Regarding access to healthcare, the public consider the three most important issues to be:

• Fast access for ambulances (82%)
• Not having to travel to a hospital in another area (82%)
• Getting to hospital by car (33%)
