Stakeholder Design Evaluation Day 60 representatives from a very wide range of stakeholders spent Wednesday 21 April 2004 reviewing and commenting on the design proposals of the three Bidders. The stakeholders included patients, GPs, doctors, nurses, other health professionals, a local councillor, health service staff, representatives for the local authority and the medical architecture research unit of the South bank University.
Each Bidder made a two hour presentation on their design proposals covering the philosophy of the approach and how their design responds to the needs of patients and the health service. The stakeholders completed detailed questionnaires on each proposals and recorded their views on the quality and appropriateness of each design. The results will be analysed by an external organisation and used as part of the overall evaluation of the three Bidders' proposals. Commenting on the event, Chris Banks, Chief Executive of the Peterborough and Stamford NHS Foundation Trust said, "The day went extremely well. All three Bidders made excellent presentations that the stakeholders found interesting and informative." The results of the evaluation exercise
and the selection and the names of the two Bidders that will be going
on to the next stage of the procurement process will be announced on 7
